90 Plus Cellars 149 Nascetta
Estate grown and hand-harvested, this Italian white hails from a father/son duo making wine in the rolling hills of the Langhe. This non-traditional grape varietal thrives in the clay soils of this region. The only white grape native to this area of Piedmont, Nascetta was recently saved from near extinction. Fermented in stainless steel tanks and then let to rest with the yeasts for at least 6 months, this wine bursts with minerality.
Tasting Notes
A floral aroma with notes of ripe pears. On the palate expect white peach and exotic fruit flavors erupting with acidity. Pairs well with shrimp scampi, spaghetti with clams, or prosciutto wrapped asparagus.
