90 Plus Cellars Fort Ross-Seaview Pinot Noir

Overlooking the Pacific Ocean on coastal hills of Sonoma County, Fort Ross-Seaview is a distinct appellation. The vineyards sit above the cool fog allowing grapes to ripen in the warm sun, producing uniquely fresh tasting Pinot Noir wines. The dual influence of chilly temperatures and intense sunlight on the grapes results in fragrant wines with ripe fruit and perfumed floral aromas framed by a mouth-watering texture. This Pinot Noir is made from hand-harvested grapes grown on high ridges within view of the Pacific. The grapes are hand-sorted and de-stemmed, then put through several days of pre-fermentation cold maceration to extract color and flavor. The wine goes through a native yeast fermentation, then 12 months or more maturation with up to 33% new French oak.

Tasting Notes

Notes of cherries and cranberries fill the glass with subtle hints of rose petals. Soft and seductive on the palate, the wine leaves you with notes of strawberries, blueberries, toasty vanilla and cloves.
