Originally from France, Cabernet Sauvignon is the offspring of Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc. The grape likely found its way to California post gold rush. However, it wasn’t until the late 20th century that Cabernet Sauvignon reached its position as the top dog of California red wines. The sunny and dry climate of California fully ripens the grape allowing it to display its perfumed nature.
This California Cabernet features coastal fruit blended with bunches from the northern vineyards of California’s central valley.
