Lot 183 Shiraz
Shiraz has found a home in the coastal regions of South Australia. Long, warm summers ensure the grapes achieve full fruit and tannin ripeness, resulting in expressive aromas, a velvety texture, and a finish that keeps going. Bunches are harvested and brought to the winery where they are sorted and de-stemmed prior to a temperature controlled fermentation in stainless steel. Cooler fermentation temperatures preserve Shiraz’s characteristic flesh black fruit aromas and better manage tannin extraction. This creates an easy drinking, approachable style of red wine suitable for backyard BBQ or simple porch sipping.
Tasting Notes
Inky purple in color with aromas of spicy dark fruit and red plums. The wine is sumptuously round and juicy with subtle notes of vanilla on the finish. Enjoy with savory short ribs, hearty beef stews or a juicy cheeseburger off the grill.
